Covermycourtdate.com was created in an effort to protect citizens and legal practitioners alike from the effects of the Ontario budget cuts.

The Ford government has cut 30% of Legal Aid Ontario’s budget and intends to increase it up to 40% by 2021. As a result, Duty Counsel lawyers are no longer able to assist in providing representation in court for those who do not fall within a narrow set of criteria. As of July 15, 2019 many will be left alone to address a judge while the crown has their way on the record. We recognize that it is extremely difficult to navigate the court system without support and guidance. Therefore, we have made it a priority to provide an alternative service at a low cost so that you’re not left to wander the menacing halls of a courthouse by yourself. Our professional lawyers, paralegals and agents are selected based on your needs to ensure that you are covered!

03. Receive Confirmation

Once we’ve processed your request, an email will be sent to let you know that you can expect a legal professional at your side on your court date. You will also be entitled to a one time only FREE 30 minute consultation with a lawyer to be scheduled at a later date.
